it has been a while since i have checked out wonderful graffiti wedding and i am so glad i did!  there are so many great ideas for personalizing your wedding--i love it!!  you can create any color palete and design you need to complement your wedding, as well as your monogram or special message.  it's these little touches that really finish off your look.  and if you can't buy these from wonderful graffiti wedding, turn it into inspiration for a diy project!

plum party!

we all know that wedding supply sites can be slightly overwhelming and more likely than not, cheesy. it's hard to sift through all of the ruffles and tulle and pink bows to find that one item that may fit in with your day--in fact it's just plain so annoying sometimes, i don't know how you ladies can do it! but today, i have found a website called plum party. now of course you may not like everything you see, but i have to say it's my favorite one-stop-party-shop i have found! i'm even inspired to just throw a party of my own with some of their great ideas. the website is really easy to use and they even offer some of their own stylish tips to help. and how fabulous are those turquoise vases above? those are my absolute favorites! i've picked out a couple other items i thought were really great and fun to incorporate into your wedding:

i was searching around the web and realized i hadn't peaked in on martha in a while and found these great diy ideas--there is a reason martha calls these her "good things" :) there are so many others to choose from but here, she has biodegradable confetti, silk program covers, personalized postcard thank you's, and a great potted plant for your centerpieces. the search for the newest and most creative will always be there and i hope this inspires you to continue!!

fun coasters!

i am suffering through some technical difficulties around here--mainly because my little 9 month old has decided that mom's computer is a play toy and because of this it's not working correctly :) hopefully by next week i shall have this all figured out!! so hang with me.

flower love

i am in such dire need to see anything that resembles glorious sun and beautiful spring that i wanted to share some pics of flowers today. it has been such a dismal spring for us over her in portland, oregon--and contrary to common belief, we do have sun, not always rain :) and flowers just bring such joy, i just needed a little bit of that today...plus these are some great ideas for any kind of flower decor for your fabulous wedding. i LOVE the hydrangea and calla lily, with over sized palm on the chair!!

good morning! for some reason it feels like it should be friday already. wishful thinking i guess...anyway, i found these great outdoor lighting ideas from grandin road yesterday. such creative ways to add nice atmosphere to your rehearsal dinner, your wedding ceremony and reception. you don't have to buy a ton, but placing some of near path ways, in and around tables and even at entrances will put nice finishing touches on your event. and how fun are those water globes?? i've seen them in magazines before, and now we know where to get them! and those globes don't have to be in the water, you can put them anywhere. enjoy and check out grandin road!

i found this fabulous lime green and pink table setting image on bliss event group's blog (which by the way please check out because it's truly amazing!) the other day and just as she says on her blog, i could NOT stop looking at it! don't those flower arrangements just look almost edible?? it's almost an inspiration board by itself, so i didn't really add too much--it just reminds me of a luscious green, white, and a bit of pink garden affair. the short dress, limeade and a tightly tailored tablescape is just perfect for a fabulously chic afternoon event.

i don't normally do any blog search on the weekends, but i had a little extra time on my hands...and what did i find?? the wonderful world of food blogging. oh my goodness, i could not stop looking through gobs and gobs of gorgeous, tantalizing images of food and trying to convince myself that i could begin to tackle the recipes that follow the perfectly prepared food that looked almost too good to touch--well, no, that's a lie, i wanted to jump through my laptop screen and eat the food then and there! of course i had to come back to reality and remind myself i don't do baking at all--but with that said, i had to share these images with you. i hope you enjoy them as much as i did and please check these blogs out! and as you think of unique ways to tempt your wedding guests use these as inspiration and then invite me to your wedding so i can taste :)

i am so excited about this website! this is one of the best fine linen rental websites i've ever come across. bbj linens has an excellent and grand inventory of fine linens, in all different colors and fabrics, including: chair covers, chair ties, napkins, table runners, and a wonderful couture line that is custom designed for their most exclusive clientele. but one of the most exciting parts of their website is the interactive "design center" where they feature their new designs or you can create your own look. it is so fun! i put together a couple of my own--obviously inspired by the orange and greens...why? ...i'm not sure. it's just so luxurious and glamours. bbj linens also has a great photo gallery to look at events they have so masterfully created. i have shown some of those as well. love it! check it out. their locations are all over the country--the seattle branch services the portland area.

Beautiful Plates

i understand that plates aren't necessarily the first thing you think of when planning a wedding, but i had to post these gorgeous plates just for inspiration. i found all these images off of house beautiful. it is one of my favorite magazines i receive each month--my husband and i are currently in the middle of a little house remodel/add-on and i love to look through all kinds of things to find ideas for my home. but, a lot of what i find spurs me on to create ideas for weddings too! i hope you enjoy these as much as i do.
