BBJ Linens

i am so excited about this website! this is one of the best fine linen rental websites i've ever come across. bbj linens has an excellent and grand inventory of fine linens, in all different colors and fabrics, including: chair covers, chair ties, napkins, table runners, and a wonderful couture line that is custom designed for their most exclusive clientele. but one of the most exciting parts of their website is the interactive "design center" where they feature their new designs or you can create your own look. it is so fun! i put together a couple of my own--obviously inspired by the orange and greens...why? ...i'm not sure. it's just so luxurious and glamours. bbj linens also has a great photo gallery to look at events they have so masterfully created. i have shown some of those as well. love it! check it out. their locations are all over the country--the seattle branch services the portland area.

Beautiful Plates

i understand that plates aren't necessarily the first thing you think of when planning a wedding, but i had to post these gorgeous plates just for inspiration. i found all these images off of house beautiful. it is one of my favorite magazines i receive each month--my husband and i are currently in the middle of a little house remodel/add-on and i love to look through all kinds of things to find ideas for my home. but, a lot of what i find spurs me on to create ideas for weddings too! i hope you enjoy these as much as i do.

good morning and i hope you all had a wonderful weekend in the sun! today, with great pleasure i am featuring photographer jared birt. my husband and i were blessed enough to meet up with him downtown at sip and cranz (which i love in the pearl!) to look through his portfolio and talk wedding "shop"--well, my husband didn't do too much talk, but he did enjoy a sugar-free vanilla latte :) anyway, we had a wonderful time. and though jared may be a little less known around these parts, he is one of those hidden jewels in the portland area--such a fantastic photographer with a great eye for the beautiful. and his urban style, in his personal and professional life comes through so wonderfully in his photography--

Gown Friday

it's friday again! yeah!

i used almost every image from brides.com from her new line--LOVE her! the silk and dutchess satin trumpet gowns with strapless, sweetheart necklines are so simply feminine and wonderfully glamorous. i think i could wear every one for my own wedding (that is, if i wasn't already married. i am available for any gown modeling. ha! right...). my personal fav is of course the first one above--so chic.

Green Paper!

in honor of earth day and "green week" i found these plantable, recycled paper products--such an inventive and wonderfully green idea! each product is handmade with recycled paper products and can be planted in the ground to grow beautiful wild flowers. wedding invitations, journals, party favors, stationary, notecards and calendars are all available and are a wonderful eco idea each and every guest can personally use to beautify their own homes! there are many options to choose from Botanical Paperworks, but these are just a few:
